Pumpkin Sign Makeover

This sign at Dollar Tree is a sign that most people will pass by in its original form but I was intrigued by how different it was from all of the rest of the signs available. I had so many ideas going through my head on what I could do to it to make it a bit more appealing. I realized I didn't need to do anything extreme to it at all. I could actually take some paper, embellishments, Mod Podge, and hot glue which would transform it to something I would be proud to display in my home.
I started by getting the glitter off the one part of the sign using Goo Gone and Paper Towel. I moved on to sanding everything just to make sure there wasn't anything on there that would affect the Mod Podge from adhering. I then picked my papers from my stash of fall themed scrapbook paper that measure 12X12.
After picking out the papers I took a pencil and traced each section of the pumpkin on the paper and cut it out. It was time to get Mod Podge out and start applying it to the sign and the paper. Its always important to smooth out the paper to get any air bubbles out and I like to let it dry before applying the top coat.
Well the sign is drying I decide to add some metal words that I purchased from dollar tree. My choices are shown here and I paint the Welcome with two coats of outdoor patio paint mixed with chalk paint.

Here is the finished Welcome once it has dried completely. I am then going to take the outdoor Mod Podge and use it on the bottom to adhere the Welcome to the sign. After it dries I am going over the words and the whole sign with Mod Podge for a final coat to seal all of my work.
I will then add my embellishments with my glue gun.
Here is the final project on my wall in my dining room.

Here is the video that I have posted on youtube:
